Brand films to communicate their ethos and skills to new clients.
I woke up to the smell of coffee
Buxton Roastery is a fantastic small batch, hand roasted coffee roastery in the Peak District. When sitting with owner Iain Keeling over an Espresso to discuss how we could help them, I found out there was so much more to it than just roasting great coffee.
Four pillars of their business really became apparent. Working directly with family farms in Brazil and Thailand as part of the their Direct Trade relationships was a key, strong story. Another strong pillar was the free Barista Training they offer their customers to ensure delivery of the perfect cup. Their skills as coffee roasters were certainly apparent but at the end of our chat I came to realise that the most impressive thing about Iain and his team was their philosophy and ethical stance within the world of coffee. With each of these topics requiring a short film, a date was put in the diary.
All the films were shot at the Roastery in a single day, collecting interviews with each member of the company and from Cal Maciel Brough, a visiting coffee grower from Brazil.
